Intraoral Scanners

IOS are devices for capturing direct optical impressions in dentistry. They project a light source onto the dental arches, and images are then captured by imaging sensors and processed by a scanning software. A 3-D surface model of the patient’s arches is thus created digitally.

IOS are playing a pivotal role in digital dentistry. An accurate replica of the patient’s mouth is required for the fabrication of the perfect fitted prosthesis. This can now be achieved by IOS.
